FAQs

Lead times vary depending on the type of project, but as a guide, for fabric production:

  • Regular collection: 7-8 weeks
  • Semi-custom production: 8-9 weeks
  • Custom production: up to 12 weeks

At Montloup, we favor a realistic and structured approach to secure deliveries:

  • Technical validation upstream to avoid production errors
  • Selection of reliable and proven manufacturing partners
  • Rigorous monitoring at each stage (development, knitting, finishing)
  • Transparent communication in case of adjustments or unforeseen circumstances

Producing locally also allows us to reduce transport times and have better control over the production chain, which directly contributes to the reliability of deliveries.

We do not seek to promise unrealistic deadlines, but to build stable, predictable productions that are aligned with your operational constraints.

Local production may have a higher unit cost than some international options, but it must be analyzed in terms of total cost.

At Montloup, we help our clients evaluate all variables:

  • transport and logistics costs
  • delivery times and impact on sales
  • inventory and overstock management
  • error rates and quality-related returns
  • production flexibility and adjustment capacity

In many cases, local production makes it possible to reduce risks, improve responsiveness, and optimize inventory management, which offsets, or even outweighs, the initial price difference.

Our role is to help you identify the relevant trade-offs based on your volume, constraints, and strategy.

We prioritize eco-friendly fibres, low-impact processes, and local production to reduce our environmental footprint.

Most of the yarns we use are certified as ecological or non-harmful to the environment. Certifications are available upon request.

All our fabrics are knitted and finished in Ontario or Quebec.

Most of the manufacturers we work with are located in Canada. Montloup also has a network of manufacturing companies in Europe.
Depending on the project, we may need to source materials from outside Canada.

All data regarding the origin of materials will be communicated to you.
