Returns, Refunds and Pre-Sale Policy
What are the return conditions?
No returns will be accepted for defects under 5%. Fabric must be inspected prior to cutting. No returns will be accepted if the fabric has been cut, altered, or used.
Returns are accepted by written authorization only, within a maximum of 20 days following receipt. In the case of a defect, please email us a detailed description along with photos.
Please note that fabrics sold at a discount are final sale. They are not eligible for exchange or refund.
What happens if there is a defect in my fabric?
When applicable, you may choose between a refund or an exchange.
Whenever possible, we will send a replacement fabric at our expense in exchange for the defective fabric. If the fabric is no longer available, we will issue a refund or exchange it for a fabric of equal value as quickly as possible. The second shipment will be at our expense.
Can I cancel my pre-sale order?
Once an order has been placed and production has started, no cancellations or modifications are possible. Deposits are non-refundable and no refunds will be issued.
Estimated delivery dates are provided for reference only and do not constitute a contractual commitment or a guaranteed delivery date.
Once production has begun, it is technically impossible to stop, modify, or reallocate fabric quantities, as they are produced as part of a bundled production with other customer orders. This is the primary reason why a non-refundable deposit is required.
A delivery delay, even a significant one, does not constitute grounds for cancellation or refund, except in the exceptional case where the delay exceeds three (3) months beyond the originally estimated delivery date. In such cases, a solution may be discussed on a case-by-case basis.
Production timelines
Production timelines may vary depending on the product. We encourage you to carefully read each product description before placing an order. Timelines are provided for informational purposes only.
We commit to keeping you informed of your order’s progress throughout production. Delays may occur due to constraints within the Canadian supply chain, which are beyond our control.
Production timelines do not include holiday periods. Please allow an additional two (2) weeks for any order placed during the construction holidays or the holiday season.
Variable quantities
During production, it is not always possible to obtain the exact same yardage on each roll. Final quantities may therefore vary by plus or minus 10%. The final yardage will be adjusted on the final invoice.
Colour variation
Colour codes are Pantone TCX references. Please note that colours may vary depending on screens and viewing conditions. We recommend referring to physical Pantone swatches whenever possible.
Colours in production may vary by ± 5%, which is considered acceptable within textile manufacturing standards.
I made a mistake in my order…
If you made an error in your order, please contact us as soon as possible so we can determine whether an adjustment is still feasible.
Please note that once production has started, no changes will be possible. Fees may apply depending on the payment method used.
Limitation of liability
Montloup cannot be held responsible for commercial losses, loss of revenue, loss of opportunity, delays in market launch, or any other indirect damages resulting from production or delivery delays.
